Well, this article is filled with wonderful information that will enhance my knowledge of the technologies out there that I will be able to use as a teacher. Most of the article was positive and agreeable to me, but some of the statements about how education has been working throughout the years, I feel is not correct. For example, I thought it is always difficult to assess students' knowledge by isolation and fact-driven standardized tests. Also, that teaching that way never truly teaches the students what they should know. I feel that my teachers were encouraging critical thinking through their teaching and with the technology that they had at the time, so yes critical thinking should always be apart of the learning process.
On a more positive side I do agree with the fact of helping students to understand how to use research engines and to find the information that they need, while being able to tell the difference bewteen good and bad information. Bring technology into the classroom at an early age I think will help students to learn to be kind and respectful to other users and lower the cyber-bullying that happens on-line. Overall, I learned about more technology to use in the classroom and understand that it will be difficult to use everything, but that it will strengthen the growth in the students and build their solid foundation.
