What I found on Blogs for Educators (required)
Well, the first couple of blogs I looked at were ok, but didn't really catch my eye. Then I went to Creating Lifelong Learners where I found a very interesting blog about using the new ipad in the classrooms and how great they will be in the classroom (not sure that any schools actually have them yet.) I have heard a little bit of information about this new technology that apple just put out, but haven't paid much attention because I am a PC girl and Macs just confuse me more than anything when you try to use them. Don't get me wrong though I am ok with Macs, their just not my favorite. My experience with my nano ipod hasn't helped those feelings either :). What I find very interesting is that with all that Bill Gates has done to put PC's into the classroom he now seems to have some competition. It will be curious to see what becomes of technology in the classroom when it comes to what type of system the students and teachers will use in the future. Both PC's and Macs have their unique abilities in what they are best for and I think that they both deserve a place in education because Macs are higher qualified for music work and PC's for the gaming industy and developing programs, which you cannot do with a Mac because they do not give that right out to the public, only those who are working for the company.
